Catching the Trail

The next morning Adam departed from the motel he was staying at, headed straight towards the bank. Getting closer, he activated the cloaking spell again and strode right in the front doors. He pulled out his goggles of aura-sight again and turned up the enchantment, looking for faint traces of someone, anyone, who had seen the demon and survived. They could be a help in finding the demon once more. He glanced around for a few moments, before a shadowy wisp caught his eye. It trailed around like a normal aura or magical trace, yet it was smoky and shadow-like, rather unlike the normal glowing blue mist that he was used to.

Adam set off following the trail as it twisted around the city until he came to a puzzling gap. There was an oddly dark apartment building to his left, and a coffee shop to the right, down the street a little bit. He weighed his options for a moment and decided to grab a hot tea quickly in the coffee shop.

Five minutes later, tea in hand, Adam exited the shop and looked around for a minute, pulling his goggles back in place and turning up the sensitivity. A shadowy trail, not unlike the one he had found previously, appeared in front of him, winding its way off down the road. Huh. Wonder why it breaks for that distance... Perhaps they teleported, though for such a short distance seems a little odd. Still though, it's the only lead I've got... He set off once more, doggedly following the trail. A sign hung outside the door at the end of the trail. I wonder what this bloke would wont with... Madam Gkika’s Fortune Telling...
