Interlude: Rules for the Authors

No killing of other author's primary characters without permission, and discussion of method/plot implications of death.
No railroading of other authors; You write for yourself. If you have plot that will not fit within one post, warn the other authors of it, and give them room to work with, they can either dodge the area/topic, or they can do it for you, you get to give them a vague outline, and you have to work with what they produce. remember, this is a collaborative piece, not just your own.
This is a collaborative continuous piece. Work with what came before, and try not to introduce major plot twists without discussing it with the authors it will immediately effect.
Stick with the general worldsetting and genre. In this case it is a Urban Fantasy piece. We will meet at some point, whether online or in person remains to be determined, to discuss the world our piece will be in.
If you can't post one day, either swap days with a willing author, or find someone to cover your sorry ass.
Keep tenses agreeing, if it's primarily in present, stay in present. if you're going to change it a good way to do so is flashback, or in the case of future tense, introduce or use a seer of some sort, that or magical vision. More vaguer future through plans and schemes works too.
Keep your criticism to yourself. If it really bothers you, ask the author to revise, but try to keep revisions strictly grammatical as they may effect the overall plot otherwise. If you need to do plot revision, it must be done before the next author posts, and the next author must be warned!
Try to stick to the mood, if it turns out to be serious, keep it serious. In general use your brain as an author for what fits. try to work into the writing style of the previous author so it flows as a piece. Use common sense.
Lastly, this is a group piece. This is for fun. Don't get too worked up if you can't make your posts, or if you accidentally bend or break a rule. These rules can be revised too, this is just what came to mind.

Have fun, set those pens racing, and those fingers flying across the keyboard. (comment on this post if you have a problem with any of this, or just wanna, you know, comment on it :P)
